Samantha’s Story:
Samantha is a full-spectrum doula, midwife apprentice, placenta alchemist, astrology/tarot counselor, and single mother raising two beautiful humans. At 19, Samantha became pregnant with her daughter, which felt like a time of awakening for her. She became empowered by what her body was capable of. Her birth experience, however, left her feeling disempowered and alone. Through this experience she realized her dream of supporting parents through their own pregnancies, births, and postpartum lives, and holding space for their unique experiences.
She trained as a doula in 2013, as a breastfeeding counselor in 2014, graduated from Indie Birth Midwifery School in 2022 and became a breastfeeding educator in 2023. As a birth worker of over a decade, and a mother herself, Samantha understands reproductive rites of passage to be transformative and deeply personal. She is keenly aware that our identities are altered when we cross the thresholds of our distinctive experiences.
Ultimately, Samantha believes that your decisions and perspectives matter most in your care. She aims to foster empowerment through education, ceremony, and resources.
