Emily’s Story:
I was always passionate about birth, despite majoring in mechanical engineering first. I worked for eight years as an engineer, wanting to “help” people and found that birth work is my actual definition of helping people. Pregnancy, labor and postpartum come with so many emotions, which are rarely discussed in depth with women’s care doctors. I hold space for every single emotion and encourage parents to really process them. My philosophy is that parenthood, whether planned or serendipitous, is an emotional and physical roller coaster and I take sincere joy in supporting both parents along the ride. I serve in Fallon, NV and anywhere up to 60 miles from me. My hobbies include hiking, and driving anywhere to hike with my husband and two awesome kids.
